The department is very active in research. Our faculty members recently published papers in the American Economic Review, Review of Economics and Statistics, International Economic Review, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Public Economics, Economic Theory, Journal of Urban Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Bioeconomics, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management and the Journal of Macroeconomics, among others. Joanna Jasiak's paper (joint with Christian Gourieroux) was judged the best paper presented at a recent European conference on financial econometrics. Janet Landa has been named editor of the new Journal of Bioeconomics. Many members of the department received prestigious national and international research grants.
